System Output
Net•Yield provides several ways to output data and reports from the system. The printer prompts and output options available for each user are set up in User Printing. These include:
- Print – Select Print to send the output to one of the printers installed on the user’s workstation. If the user’s printer prompt is set to Y (Y=yes) in User Printing, the standard Microsoft printer selection box will appear. Press Enter to send the print job to the user’s Microsoft default printer or the Net•Yielddefault printer or form override. The selected printer, printer preferences, page range, and number of copies default are based on the printer properties and can be modified using the commands found in the printer selection box. If the user’s form or printer prompt is set to N (N=no) the print job will automatically be directed to the default printer. Net•Yield default printers are assigned to each user in User Printing – Add Printer Override. The ability to print in landscape mode is based on the minimum font size per user, which is set in User Printing. When printing managed forms a "Form Name Printing and Emailing Options" window appears with the following information:
- Printer or Recipient – The recipient's name for the printed form or the email recipient name
- Email group – The email group or transaction partner table for the email recipient
- Email address – The email address of the recipient
- Note – The email recipient contact note
The recipients for the printed form and email group recipients will be automatically tagged to print. Scroll down the list of form and email recipients to tag the optional email recipients and press Enter to tag or un-tag a recipient. Press F10 when finished. For the printed recipients, select the printer the form should be printed on. The form will be emailed for the email recipients.
- Print Preview – Select Print Preview to display the output on the screen prior to printing to the selected printer. The printer selection box appears, just like in Print, so that the screen display is the same as it would be if the print job was actually sent directly to the printer. Select Print. The Net•Yield Print screen will appear with the report displayed the same way it would if sent to the printer. The Net•Yield print screen contains the following command icons:
- Printer Icon – Select to print the report to the selected printer.
- Magnifier icon – Select to increase or decrease the size of the report layout.
- One page Icon – Select to display the report on a single page.

The report can be printed, faxed, or emailed using the print functions of the browser. The report can also be edited in Microsoft Word or Excel depending upon your default browser edit program. See Saving to Excel for more details.
- Email – Select Email to email the report using the built in Net•Yield email functions. See Setting up and Using Email for more information. Managed forms are emailed to the recipients via the Print option.
